
BBC Worldwide has appointed Rare Communications to launch its In the Night Garden campaign for BBC Children in Need.
The initiative, which commences immediately, will invite well-known celebrities to produce a design for Igglepiggle.
The BBC Children in Need fundraising theme for 2008 is ˜Do Something Different and in the weeks leading up to the televised appeal on BBC One, 14 November, BBC Worldwide is asking celebrities to get creative and produce a design for Igglepiggle, one of the stars of In the Night Garden. Artwork will then either be developed into an outfit to developed into an outfit to dress Igglepiggle, or framed and auctioned on eBay with all proceeds going to BBC Children in Need. Rare Communications will be working with BBC Worldwide on creating a communications strategy, liaising with celebrities and implementing a comprehensive media relations campaign.

The campaign aims to provide people across the UK with the opportunity to make a difference this year for such a worthwhile cause. We have already confirmed a great line-up of celebrities but also open to proposals from celebrity managers and agents.
